Central Park Rec Room 3 + card.jpg

Central Park

This New York City themed rec. room had four distinct mural areas. The main mural wall is a composite view of the Alice In Wonderland statue in Central Park, complete with the residents’ children and Mom and Dad on a shady bench. The second area, a view down 5th avenue, is bounded by a hedge and fence that makes use of the existing chair rail. The railing and hedge continue along a low dividing wall to the opposite corner with it’s reverse perspective painting of FAO Schwarz. The last area is the oddly shaped wall by the stairs which I transformed into the stoop of a brownstone. All in all I made use of every square inch of wall space in this room, even squeezing a lamp post onto one support column and finishing the other to resemble the trunk of a tree.
