New Blossoms
This nursery for expected twins was decorated in a variety of coordinating patterns in a contemporary palette of soft grays and sunny yellows. But the painted gray walls needed a little "happiness." In keeping with the esthetic of simple forms and graphic patterns, we first added bands of paler gray all the way around the room. The horizontal striping brightened the room and created a focal area for these colorful flowers to occupy. A variety of circular blooms are concentrated on the wall above one crib. Above the other we left space for a very special painting made for the girls by a family member. The final touch was a pair of custom monograms which truly personalize the space.
