Seaside Shanty
The goal for this room was to keep it bright, open and tranquil. The bed is the obvious star here, so I painted simple, soft-edged scenes around the room to give it a sense of place. To give the little play room wall the look of a New England seaside shanty it’s roofline is covered with real shingles, but the gray shake shingles on it’s face are actually painted on the flat wall. Did they fool you?
