Patchwork Happiness

Stripes and polka dots and colorful patterns add interest and a bit of fun to simple forms. They can be sprinkled in softly as in Kate’s fairy meadow, or used to add a pop of bright color to fanciful flora and fauna. When dealing with a wall color that is more intense, as in Blake’s room, I “stitched” together patterns to create patchwork landscapes that hold their own in their surroundings. This technique works equally well as soft accent or bold statement depending entirely on the preferred décor of the room.
